Capcom has announced that following the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Nintendo Wii U, a software update will be release a month later. This update is a result of community feedback.
The software update will finally add online cross-region functionality. This would allow North American and European gamers to now play together online in up to four player battles. The update will also allow Monster Hunter to be playable on the Wii U GamePad without a TV screen, making the game compatible with the off-TV play feature. As a given bonus, Capcom will support Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the coming months after it’s release with free downloadable quests. The first free downloadable quest will be available on launch day.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will release in North America on March 19th, 2013 for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available retail and as a digital download from the Nintendo eShop.
